Support to the National Development Strategy

The overall goal of the NDS project is to reduce poverty and inequality in Moldova. Specific purpose of the project is to put in place effective mechanisms and capacity for implementation, monitoring and updating the National Development Strategy. The Government requested the United Kingdom Department for International Development to launch the project supporting implementation of the NDS and supporting overall policy development and dialogue capacity in line ministries covering advice relating to setting up NDS implementation coordination, resourcing, monitoring and evaluation systems; linking national development policies to budget planning and programming of international development assistance; strengthening capacity of the centre and line ministries to develop and communicate policies; and strengthening mechanisms for effective policy dialogue between civil society and government.
