Support to the Georgian Competition Agency

The main objective of the project is to support the law enforcement capacity of the Georgian Competition Agency by strengthening the professional ability of its staff to deal with rules and norms governing the competition in Georgia and with a wide range of related market issues. Through CPM’s support, the Georgian Competition Agency is expected to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of its legal, economic and technical capacities, which will enable it to implement competition policy in accordance with EU best practices and DCFTA provisions. Specifically, the project will be instrumental in improving the cooperation between the Competition Agency and Sector Regulators. Promoting a competition culture within the Georgian society is another important feature in which the project will focus throughout its implementation. In this respect, CPM will contribute in increasing the awareness of competition rules and the understanding about the role of competition policy at all levels of the Georgian society.
