Support to Kosovo’s MEST concluded

March 15, 2016

The project “Technical assistance to the MEST Kosovo” was officially finished today. Through the support and expertise provided by DADA6, MEST has been able to put in place, for the first time, the “fundamentals” of effective human resource and organizational management, as well as modern management systems required for an efficient and effective education sector. The newly introduced Manual on Procedures and Standards for Internal Organization lays a solid ground for future implementation of organizational changes within MEST. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), such as the one on Training Management, will also increase the efficiency of MEST in planning and implementing staff development policies and mechanisms in the coming years. Staying true to its philosophy to building long-lasting local capacities of its beneficiaries, DADA6 created yet another precedent of producing quality data, research materials containing crosscutting analysis, as well as joined-up policy advice, further building the capacities of the MEST staff to engage in efficient strategic policy planning and management, financial planning, donor coordination, and human resource management.
