RIA in the state administration

Institutionalization of the process of the regulatory impact assessment in the state administration, financed by Operational Program „Administrative Capacity”

The project aims at improving the administrative capacity for regulatory impact assessment (RIA) in the state administration on central level, institutionalization of the RIA process in the state administration, and elaboration of practical approach and methodology for RIA. The project resulted in a practical methodology for ex ante and ex post RIA in Bulgaria, complemented by a comprehensive TNA and a training plan for civil servants, and as well as a central-level review of challenges for implementation of RIA processes in Bulgaria, which aims to assist the state administration in further capacity—building for RIA, in line with the approach for RiA on EU level.
