Improving Efficiency and Transparency of the Public Finance Management System in Belarus

In this project, CPM assisted the Ministry of Finance of Belarus to draft a concept note and a detailed plan for convergence of the national public sector accounting and reporting system with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS), as well as develop the Conceptual Design of a unified chart of accounts in the public sector. During the project, the legal act on creating the Coordination Council, which defines the role, functions and operating rules of the Coordination Council and its collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and public sector entities, was drafted. This has further improved the management of the development, adoption and implementation of the national public sector accounting and reporting standards on the basis of IPSAS.
