Developing the Functional Analysis of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova and its subordinated structures

Overall objective of the project was to support the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova to identify and substantiate necessary organizational changes and improvements within the scope of existing and emerging needs and requirements of education sector and propose recommendations for increasing efficiency and effectiveness of the Ministry of Education and its subordinated bodies as well as of the government functions in the defined areas of the sector. Main components of the project include: Elaboration of a detailed functional review methodology that is “fit-for-purpose” and addresses the need of the Ministry taking into account the reform agenda that is planned for the education sector; Carrying out functional review of the Ministry and its subordinated institutions with a view to design new structure and staffing policy; International research of relevant recognized practice and identification of lessons learned; Support to communication of the results from the functional review; Identification of the road-map for implementation of the results of the functional review
